Teen Killed After Jumping From Mom's Car.

- A 17-year-old Colorado girl died after jumping out of her mom's moving car straight into the path of oncoming traffic on a highway just outside Denver.

Catrina Fox kicked open her car door early Saturday and jumped onto US 285 in Jefferson County, Colo., where she was fatally struck by a car driven by another teenager, The Denver Post reported.

The incident happened as she was being driven home to Bailey, about 45 miles (72 kilometers) southwest of Denver, by her mother at 1:00am local time, after visiting a friend.

Her mother told cops that her daughter jumped from the moving car and was struck on the westbound lanes of the highway, State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said.
