Alabama Is A GOP State, Here An Example Of How They Want To Treat Woman In America.

Corrections officers at the only women's prison in Alabama regularly sexually harass, abuse and even rape female inmates with few consequences, according to a new report by a civil rights organization.
Numerous female inmates at Tutwiler Prison for Women in Wetumpka, Ala., reported becoming pregnant after being raped by male correctional staff over the past five years, said Bryan Stevenson, executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), which investigated the allegations. Other sexual misconduct, including pervasive harassment, unwanted touching and invasion of privacy, is commonplace, Stevenson said.
Consensual sex between staff and inmates is strictly forbidden by prison regulations, but is also a regular occurrence, with staff requiring women to perform sexual favors in exchange for smuggled contraband goods, the report found.
"What we found is pretty shocking," Stevenson said. "We think there's widespread sex abuse and assaults of women by correctional staff."
Tutwiler, which holds more than 700 inmates, was identified by the Department of Justice in 2007 as the most dangerous women's prison in the country.
Kim Thomas, the Alabama Department of Corrections commissioner, said the agency was aware of the allegations. "This is a matter of grave concern to me," Thomas said in a statement. "Sexual misconduct of any kind, including custodial sexual misconduct, is not tolerated by this department."
Thomas did not address any of the specific allegations in the EJI report. The report's findings include allegations that inmates who reported sexual abuse by guards to senior corrections staff, including the warden, Frank Albright, say they were placed in solitary confinement, lost privileges and were subjected to verbal abuse.
"Many of them reported encounters with the warden that they characterize as abusive, threatening and intimidating," Stevenson said. "The women report that when you complain, you are placed in segregation and are subjected to very aggressive treatment by investigators and other staff. It is not an environment that encourages people to come forward with instances of abuse."

14-Year-Old Hangs 9-Year-Old Sister

When 9-year-old Katelynn Arnold didn't appear right away after one of her frequent bicycle rides along her rural Alabama road, her concerned aunt went to look for the girl.
The woman, who is the girl's foster mother, checked with a neighbor whose daughter often played with Katelynn, but he hadn't seen her. When she returned home Thursday evening, she found the girl hanged from a tree with an old tireswing rope, deliberately, authorities say, by her 14-year-old half-brother who was charged Friday with murder.
The cotton rope was tied in a simple knot around the girl's neck, but was not a hangman's noose, said St. Clair County Sheriff Terry Surles. County Coroner Dennis Russell said an autopsy found the cause of death was homicide due to ligature strangulation.
The neighbor, Ricky Campbell, could only shake his head when thinking about what happened.
"She never got a chance to grow up. Her life was taken away," he said.
The accused boy admitted to killing her by hanging, Surles said. He said the boy told investigators a motive but Surles did not release it. A call came into the sheriff's department about 8:10 p.m. Thursday and by the time investigators arrived, rescuers had removed the girl from the tree and she was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The half-siblings were living with their aunt and uncle in Ragland, a town of some 1,900 people about 40 miles northeast of Birmingham, as part of a foster home situation, Surles said. Authorities did not release their names, but Campbell identified them as Jerry and Teresa McMahan and an address search shows a couple by that name living on that road.
Campbell said the children have been staying with the couple for years and authorities had no information about their parents. It was not clear whether the state had placed the children in the care of the McMahans or if the parents had sent the pair to live there.
Several relatives who gathered at the small, white home declined to comment Friday. Yellow police tape was strung around a couple trees outside the home along a one-lane road and a small bicycle with pink handle bars was parked out front.
The boy faces juvenile charges and his name was not released. Authorities could later decide to charge him as an adult.
After the girl was found and taken to the hospital, the boy went to bed, Surles said. He was arrested between 2 and 3 a.m.

Saggy Pants Law Is Just Another Attack On The Black Males.

A Prattville, Alabama man was sentenced to three days in jail for contempt of court for wearing saggy pants, according to The Montgomery Advertiser.

LaMarcus D. Ramsey, 20, was in Autauga County Circuit Court to enter a plea on a charge of receiving stolen property when the Judge took issue with his wardrobe. Judge John Bush took specific issue with how low Ramsey’s blue jeans were sagging and sentenced him to three days in jail for contempt of court.
“You are in contempt of court because you showed your butt in court,” a visibly irate Bush told Ramsey. “You can spend three days in jail. When you get out you can buy pants that fit, or at least get a belt to hold up your pants so your underwear doesn’t show.”

Southern Whites Call President A Muslim, Cause They Can't Call Him A Nigga.

Ask President Barack Obama about his religious affiliation, and he's a Christian. Ask Mississippi or Alabama voters, and you might find a different answer.

In the midst of tight GOP primaries in both states, Public Policy Polling (PPP) has released information showing that a majority of likely GOP primary voters in the Deep South do not see Obama as a Christian. PPP's Alabama survey of 600 likely GOP primary voters found that only 14 percent consider Obama a Christian, while 45 percent said he is a Muslim and 41 percent answered that they were not sure.

A similar picture surfaced in Mississippi. Of 656 likely GOP primary voters surveyed, 12 percent said Obama was a Christian, 52 percent classified him as a Muslim, and 36 percent fell in the "not sure" category.

The survey emerges on the heels of a recent stream of public questioning regarding Obama's religion. Back on Feb. 18, Rick Santorum took aim at the president's beliefs, charging that his White House decisions are driven by a "different theology."

Punishment Gone Wrong, Cause Death Of 9 Year Old

Roger Simpson said he looked down the road and saw a little girl running outside her home but didn't give it another thought. Police, however, said the man witnessed a murder in progress.

Authorities say 9-year-old Savannah Hardin died after being forced to run for three hours as punishment for having lied to her grandmother about eating candy bars. Severely dehydrated, the girl had a seizure and died days later. Now, her grandmother and stepmother who police say meted out the punishment were taken to jail Wednesday and face murder charges.
