Saggy Pants Law Is Just Another Attack On The Black Males.

A Prattville, Alabama man was sentenced to three days in jail for contempt of court for wearing saggy pants, according to The Montgomery Advertiser.

LaMarcus D. Ramsey, 20, was in Autauga County Circuit Court to enter a plea on a charge of receiving stolen property when the Judge took issue with his wardrobe. Judge John Bush took specific issue with how low Ramsey’s blue jeans were sagging and sentenced him to three days in jail for contempt of court.
“You are in contempt of court because you showed your butt in court,” a visibly irate Bush told Ramsey. “You can spend three days in jail. When you get out you can buy pants that fit, or at least get a belt to hold up your pants so your underwear doesn’t show.”

Since Zimmerman, Whites Feel They Can Kill Blacks And Get Away With It.

Police said special operations officers and other agents arrested two white men early Sunday, saying they were suspects in recent shootings that left three people dead and two others critically wounded, all black, in the Tulsa area.

Tulsa police spokesman Jason Willingham said the two men were arrested at a hone just north of Tulsa at 1:47 a.m. Sunday and they were expected to face three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill. He said police acted on an anonymous tip and went to one location and followed the suspects after they had traveled about a half mile on foot to another place where they were apprehended. He declined to characterize that as a pursuit.

"There obviously still is a lot of investigation" ahead, Willingham told The Associated Press by telephone. "We don't' have a motive at this time. We are still asking questions and hopefully that will become clear in coming days."

Willingham identified the men in custody as 19-year-old Jake England and 32-year-old Alvin Watts, both white, but gave no hometowns for them. He said the two men were taken early Sunday for questioning at a downtown Tulsa police station and would be booked and then jailed.

It was not known if either man arrested had obtained an attorney early Sunday.

Black Leaders Are Stuck In The 60's, While We Fight A New Racist America.

A new Your Black World/Kulture Kritic poll shows that the majority of African Americans are disappointed in the state of black leadership in America.  When asked, ‘Are you happy with the state of black leadership in America?” 85 percent of poll respondents said that they were either unhappy or extremely unhappy with the current state of affairs.

Most of the respondents also seemed to feel that white media defines who the current black leaders are in America.  Readers were asked the question: “Do you think that predominantly white media determines who the black leadership is going to be?”  In response, 69 percent of respondents answered “yes,” while only 19% answered “no.”  The rest of the participants said they were not sure.

Finally, survey results claim that most African Americans believe that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are defined as predominant leaders of the black community.  Respondents were asked, “Do you think that most of America defines black leadership to consist primarily of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?”  In response to this question, nearly 3/4 of survey respondents (74%) answered “yes.”

Zimmerman Has Support From Racist Friends.

As students at The Ohio State University approached the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center Thursday morning, they were met by three simple words loaded with a malicious meaning: Long Live Zimmerman.

The vandalism is in reference to George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch leader responsible for the murder of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

Students immediately took to social media to express their anger, tweeting the university’s president and circulating the photo.

President Gordon Gee tweeted back stating, “Just learned of vandalism at our Hale Center. Deplorable act of intolerance– not who we are at Ohio State. Our Police are investigating.” He is expected to make an official statement about the incident Thursday afternoon.

The white spray paint has since been removed by a Student Life employee, but there are no suspects in the case.

Larry Williamson, director of the Hale Center, says they are working with University Police and are taking the necessary steps so that incidents like this never happen again.

“We want to be sure that these types of things don’t happen here at the Ohio State University,” Williamson said. “This is not the kind of climate that Ohio State is trying to have here at this university. The university prides itself in diversity and you have things like that that takes a step back.”

“We’re dealing with the situation with heightened security. We’re going try to make sure that we do everything possible that these types of things don’t happen.”

OSU students will meet at the Hale Center Thursday night to discuss the vandalism at their weekly Black Student Association meeting.

Duct Tape To A Chair For Standing Up.

A Bronx teacher is accused of duct taping her student to a chair because he wouldn’t sit down.
Sixth grader Irel Jones said another student was asking him for answers during a test so he got up, but then instructed him to sit down, and then taped to his chair by his teacher.

Jones says his teacher then looked on as his fellow students made fun of him.
‘She duct-taped my arm, my other arm and my stomach together and then she wrapped it [the tape] around the chair twice,’ he told myFOXny.com,

‘When he was duct-taped, the students were taking his chair and pushing it around the classroom, and the teacher was grinning’ said the boy’s mother.

The Department of Education said the teacher is still employed within the New York City schools system while it conducts an investigation.

Rick Santorum Finally Calls President Obama A Nigga.

There are few people on this earth that I love more than Abena Agyeman-Fisher, the editor at NewsOne.com.   A consummate professional and arguably the leading online journalist in the country, Abena is never someone I would accuse of being a liar.  But this morning, after rolling out of bed and sitting at my desk in my gym shorts, I really thought my colleague might have been hitting the crack pipe.
“Dr. Boyce.  Rick Santorum has a video up in which he refers to President Obama as a n*gger,” she said to me.

“What did you say?” I said, as my face twisted up like a newborn baby eating a piece of broccoli.  Even I couldn’t believe what my editor was telling me, and I thought she’d lost her mind.

Then, I saw the video.  Yes, he said it.  I’m sure the Rick Santorum campaign team is strategizing faster than Homeland Security after a terrorist attack to find any BS excuse to convince us that we’re not actually hearing what we can clearly hear.  But the evidence shows that Rick Santorum is running head first into the word “n*gger” as he describes the first black president.

I’ve watched this video 14.5 times.  I’ve meditated on it, prayed over it, laid hands on it, and sent it to my mama.   I had to take a moment to thank God that Rick Santorum, in his conservative brilliance, has finally released videotaped evidence of the kind of smoking gun that many millions of us can use to prove that he is every bit as racist as we’ve always known him to be.

The Fear Of A Black Planet, What Got Trayvon Killed.

Rally for Trayvon Martin

This story, with its stench of racial bias, is not a matter of black versus white. It isn’t symbolized by nooses, clubs, or snarling dogs. It isn’t a modern-day Emmitt Till. Today the pain of racism flares up and then subsides; it throbs like a dull ache and often its source can be hard to locate. On good days, it even feels like it has gone away.
So it’s not really surprising that something as banal as a hoodie, which Martin was wearing when he was killed, has become symboli of Zimmerman’s presumed prejudice, ignorance, and animus. When Zimmerman described Martin as “suspicious” to a 911 operator, it begged the question: What, precisely, made him suspect? Since there was no indication from the call that Martin’s actions were untoward, logic turned to his mere presence. He was a black man in jeans and … a hoodie.

Such a stupid, innocuous garment.
It has never had the fear factor of black leather or steel-toe boots. Swaggering rappers and tough guys were never able to take full ownership of hoodies; they weren’t able to exploit them for their own purposes like baggy jeans or oversized white t-shirts. There was too much that was functional, cuddly, and universal about hoodies for them to be fully co-opted. Too broad a population embraced them. They remained rooted in weekend athleticism and collegiate sports, the Gap and Old Navy. Suburban dads wear them when they mow their lawn. Soccer moms wear them to soccer games. Channel surfers pull them on for pizza and beers.

Sanford Police Department Only Protect And Serve Whites .

The attorney for the parents of Trayvon Martin said the Sanford Police Department is blaming the victim in the case by leaking information beneficial to George Zimmerman and by "correcting" the testimony of witnesses whose stories diverged from the shooter's claims of self-defense.

A police report was released Monday stating that, according to Zimmerman, Martin had attacked and punched the neighborhood watch volunteer on February 26. The Associated Press also reported that Martin had been suspended from school after an empty plastic baggie containing traces of marijuana was found in his book bag. The AP also said Martin had no juvenile offender record.

Sanford city manager Norton Bonaparte said the information about Martin's school suspension should not have been released, and wants whoever leaked it fired.

Appearing on "CBS This Morning," Martin family lawyer Ben Crump said that the police are "trying to attack his reputation, blame the victim, and that has been the pattern of the Sanford Police Department.

"There is no relevance any of this has on what happened on February 26," Crump told Charlie Rose. "The only thing that matters on February 26 is George Zimmerman disobeyed the police and got out of his car and pursued and stalked Trayvon Martin to cause this fatal encounter.

"Charlie, all you need to do is listen to the tape," Crump continued. "Zimmerman did not know Trayvon Martin before this tape. He said why he was suspicious and he says why he ran after Trayvon Martin. And if the police want to leak information, why don't they leak the witnesses who say they saw him pursuing Trayvon?

"But they have only [done] things that are beneficial to Mr. Zimmerman's claim of self-defense, and the only reason we can think [why is] that, from day one, they made a decision they were not going to arrest George Zimmerman. And each day goes by, the whole world is saying, 'You at least got to arrest this guy.'"

Teacher Tell Student To Read Blacker.

Fairfax County school administrators are investigating a student’s allegations of racially insensitive behavior by a veteran English teacher at George C. Marshall High School.

Ninth-grader Jordan Shumate said that during class this month, he was reading aloud a poem by acclaimed African American writer Langston Hughes when his teacher interrupted and directed him to read in a “blacker” style.

“She told me, ‘Blacker, Jordan — c’mon, blacker. I thought you were black,’ ” said Shumate, who is African American.

Shumate told his mother, Nicole Cober Page, about the incident Tuesday. She complained to school administrators.

“We take these allegations very seriously, and we’re investigating,” Principal Jay Pearson said Friday. He declined to provide further details.

Bumper Sticker Tell The Real Truth How White America Feels .

A photograph of a bumper sticker that features racist, anti-Obama language has gone viral on Facebook and other social networks.

The sticker reads "Don't Re-Nig In 2012," in large white type, above smaller text that reads: "Stop repeat offenders. Don't re-elect Obama!"

The offensive design appears to have originated at a site called Stumpy's Stickers, where it can be purchased. The site sells variations on the same idea, including another "Don't Re-Nig" design featuring a caricature of a black man's face with a missing tooth, a picture of a chimp that reads "Obama 2012," and another with a drawing of several Ku Klux Klan members that reads "The Original Boys In The Hood."

Thirty-one States Have New Jim Crow Voter ID Laws.

Challenges to voter ID laws are building as voters cast ballots in primaries and gear up for the general election this fall.

Thirty-one states have voter identification laws, including eight — Alabama, Kansas, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin — that were enacted or toughened last year. Of the 31 laws, 27 are expected to be in effect for the general election this year, says Meagan Dorsch, spokeswoman for the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), a bipartisan research group. One has been blocked by federal action; three have later effective dates.

Laws requiring voters to show identification at the polls have been around since 1970, but they are becoming more numerous and stringent. Once a voter registration card or utility bill sufficed. Now a growing number of laws require voters to show picture IDs.

Most of the new laws have been passed by Republican legislatures, the NCSL says. Supporters say they are necessary to prevent fraud. Opponents say they keep the poor, minorities and seniors — who often back Democrats — from voting because those groups are less likely than the general population to have government-issued IDs.

The Justice Department and civil liberties groups are challenging laws in several states:

One Of The Face Of The New Jim Crow...The Overseer

" The more things change, the more they remain the same" Michelle Alexander, " The New Jim Crow'
It is a disgrace and d*mn shame that people who are sworn to uphold the law, serve and protect the people of this country do so by such evil, crooked and immoral means. It makes me wonder just who are the real criminals!  Police officers in these great states of America, cross these lines every single day and to what retribution? I say how much and how long. Why are we paying them to honestly uphold the law, and stand by watching them use that very platform to break it. I am no longer in fear of any burglar, rapist, thief, or drunken driver. No, what I now fear are these monstrous cops in their unjust, brutal force  intoxicated by power forgetting their oath. An oath they took with their right hands raised, swearing to honor and uphold everything just. Instead they look for an opportunity, any opportunity to abuse that authority and think the world owes them respect! And let me say, this is not about African Americans, Caucasians, Hispanic, purple, or green. It’s about STINKING PIGS IN BLUE and the dirty sh*t they do!

Racial Doctrine Runs Deep In Romney's Faith.

Marvin Perkins says God led him to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — but friends advised otherwise.

“Mormons, they’re prejudiced against blacks,” Perkins recalls being told.

Until 1978, the LDS church banned men of African descent from its priesthood, a position open to nearly all Mormon males and the gateway to sacramental and leadership roles. The church had also barred black men and women from temple ceremonies that promised access in the afterlife to the highest heaven.

As he explored joining the church in 1988, Perkins said he asked Mormons near his Los Angeles home about the racial doctrines. They gently explained that blacks were the cursed descendants of Cain, the biblical murderer, he recalls.

“Let’s say you have this powerful witness of God telling you that this church is truly of him,” said the 48-year-old salesman and video producer. “And then the people in that church lovingly tell you that you are cursed. How do you reconcile those two things?”

Ron Paul Words Come Back To Bite Him In The Butt.

Ron Paul, well known as a physician, congressman and libertarian , has also been a businessman who pursued a marketing strategy that included publishing provocative, racially charged newsletters to make money and spread his ideas, according to three people with direct knowledge of Paul’s businesses.

The Republican presidential candidate has denied writing inflammatory passages in the pamphlets from the 1990s and said recently that he did not read them at the time or for years afterward. Numerous colleagues said he does not hold racist views.

But people close to Paul’s operations said he was deeply involved in the company that produced the newsletters, Ron Paul & Associates, and closely monitored its operations, signing off on articles and speaking to staff members virtually every day.

Interracial Dating Leads To 1960 Hate Crime.

Three white Chicago teenagers have been arrested after they beat and placed a noose around the neck of a black teenager, the Chicago Tribune reports. Their apparent motivation was his relationship with a white girl who is the cousin of one of the attackers.

In the attack, which occurred on Dec. 23 in the home of one of the attackers, the teenagers pulled out rope, wrapped it around the black teenager's neck and yelled racial epithets at him as they beat him. One of the attackers also pulled a knife on the victim. The victim escaped and informed his family and authorities.

The teenagers, ages 16, 17 and 18, were booked and charged with hate crimes on Jan. 10. The victim, 17, and the attackers all went to Brother Rice High School, which is also investigating the incident.

Class Warfare could Be next Civil War.

Following up on President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address, Dr. Boyce Watkins writes at News One that he agrees with the president that tackling economic disparities is a matter of national security. America, he argues, has become a nation of profligate consumers who do not care for their fellow man.

GOP Speak Their True Feeling about Black People.

Most of the "Sh-- People Say" videos that have sprung up in recent weeks involve actors mocking -- and, often, exaggerating -- the types of statements they associate with various groups. But when it comes to things Republican politicians says about and to the black community, there's no need for a script or embellishment. Jezebel has pulled together real-life clips of quotes from everyone from Romney to Cain that make more of a statement than any spoof could.

Many of these gems will (unfortunately) sound familiar:

"Not all cultures are equal."

"I don't want to make black people's lives better."

"Who let the dogs out?"

"I didn't say that ... people said I said 'black' ... I didn't."

"We have the ability when we recognize that something is wrong to change it ... we no longer have slavery. That's a good thing."

"A third of the black people in this country, at least, are thinking for themselves."

"I know this from my own experience that blacks are not the greatest swimmers."

And there are more where those came from. By the end of the 2012 presidential race, there will probably be enough for a feature-length film

Gov. Haley Barbour release inmates in order to repent for a racist.

Former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour said Friday he's "very comfortable" with his final-days decisions to grant pardons or other clemency to more than 200 people, including convicted killers — decisions that outraged victims' families and dismayed even some of his most devoted supporters.

Barbour, a Republican who had considered but decided against running for president this year, said that 189 of the people who got pardons or other reprieves had already been released from prison before his actions. Only 10, he said, have been or will be fully released from prison, while several with expensive, chronic conditions are receiving medical leave.

"I am fully confident the pardons and other clemency I have given are all valid," Barbour told reporters at a news conference, his first on the subject, at the Jackson-area law firm where he now works.

Barbour granted pardons and other reprieves in his final days before leaving office after two terms Tuesday. Five inmates who had worked as trusties at the Governor's Mansion — four of them, convicted of murder — were released last weekend. One of the freed men had fatally shot his estranged wife as she held their baby in 1993 and then shot her male friend in the head; the friend survived.

Barbour initially declined to comment on the pardons or to provide detailed information about how many of those receiving them were still in prison. He then issued a statement after leaving office, after the pardons had generated a firestorm of criticism.

By the time state corrections officials said Wednesday that 21 on the list were still in custody, state Attorney General Jim Hood was calling the pardons "shameful" and questioning whether Barbour had violated the state constitution by not ensuring inmates gave enough public notice about their possible release.

Hood, the only statewide Democratic officeholder in Mississippi, also persuaded a state judge to temporarily block release of the 21 still in custody. State corrections officials said Friday they would start to release 13 of the 21 inmates because the 13 were given medical discharges and weren't bound by the same public notice requirements before release.

Barbour on Friday reiterated that it's a tradition in Mississippi for governors to free trusties who worked at the Governor's Mansion. And the former governor said he's not concerned that the freed trusties might harm anyone.
"I have absolute confidence, so much confidence, that I let my grandchildren play with these five men," Barbour, 64, said of the trusties freed this week.

He said the Mississippi Department of Corrections picks inmates who work at the Governor's Mansion. Typically, they are men who committed crimes of passion. Corrections officials assign them, he said, because they are not likely to commit another violent crime and make good workers.

Records show Barbour gave "full, complete and unconditional" pardons to 203 people, including 17 convicted of murder, 10 convicted of manslaughter, eight convicted of aggravated assault and five convicted of drunken-driving incidents that caused deaths.

He granted some sort of reprieve to 26 inmates who were in custody — 10 full pardons; 13 medical releases; one suspension of sentence; one conditional, indefinite suspension of sentence; and one conditional clemency.
