Republicans Are Punishing African American For Putting A Black Man In The White House

The truth be told, the Republicans Party is doing everything it can to make President Obama look bad. The high unemployment in the black community is due to the high vote President Obama received. Anything that was meant to help the poor and middle class, has been blocked by the GOP. This is white america way of showing that an old way of thinking is true, " blacks are inferior."

Health Care Law Repeal

While Republicans lambast the cost of implementing health care reform, a new report shows that their efforts to repeal the law have come at a major cost to taxpayers -- to the tune of nearly $50 million.
The House of Representatives again voted to repeal President Obama's signature health care law on Wednesday, marking the 33rd time Republicans have attempted to take down the legislation. The 32 previous repeal efforts faltered at the hands of the Democrat-controlled Senate; the latest attempt is unlikely to break that pattern.
According to a report by CBS News, these efforts, widely viewed as symbolic political maneuvers, come with a high price tag.
CBS' Nancy Cordes reported Wednesday that Republicans' many fruitless attempts at repealing the Affordable Care Act have taken up at least 80 hours of time on the House floor since 2010, amounting to two full work weeks. As the House, according to the Congressional Research Service, costs taxpayers $24 million a week to operate, those two weeks amounted to a total cost of approximately $48 million.

Doesn't Herman Cain And Allen West Know That They Are Just Field Niggas In The GOP.

Now that the Republican Party appears to be finally coalescing around the idea that Mitt Romney is the likely GOP presidential nominee, the conversation has shifted towards who the former Massachusetts governor should select as his running mate. In a recent interview, one of Romney’s former opponents suggested he look to Florida for his choice. Speaking with conservative radio host Steve Gill, Herman Cain says he believes Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is an “excellent choice” for vice president.

When asked who he would recommend Romney select as VP, Cain said, “Colonel Allen West out of Florida.” He added: “He is well-spoken, he is direct, people in Florida love him, he has a huge following. He is from Florida. Florida is going to be one of those key states. But more importantly, Colonel Allen West is a dedicated patriot. He served in the military, and he is willing to serve his country some more.”

Rick Santorum Changed To Win Heart Of Far-Right GOP

David Vondercrone doesn't remember sharing his fraternity house with a besieged conservative student. He remembers his former Penn State frat brother -- and current GOP presidential contender -- Rick Santorum as a regular poker player.

"I played a lot of basketball with him and a lot of poker with him," Vondercrone tells The Huffington Post.
Long before he was a leading presidential candidate who had assumed the identity of a culture warrior, Santorum was just another fraternity brother at Tau Epsilon Phi. "He wasn't so outspoken," Vondercrone says. "It seems to be his identity in the race right now. I didn't think of him as that way ... We talked about sports, our classes."

Warren Buffett Tell Gov. Chris Christie That He Will Write Him A Check; Paying By The Pound.

Warren Buffett hit back at Chris Christie on Monday, sarcastically saying that the New Jersey governor's suggestion that the billionaire investor "just write a check and shut up" was a "touching response."

Buffet's comments came in response to an interview Christie gave CNN last week. Referring to Buffett's suggestion that the wealthiest Americans be taxed at a higher rate, the New Jersey governor said that Warren "should just write [the government] a check and shut up."

"It's sort of a touching response to a $1.2 trillion deficit, isn't it?" said Buffett in an interview Monday with CNBC. "That somehow the American people will all send in checks and take care of it?"

GOP Speak Their True Feeling about Black People.

Most of the "Sh-- People Say" videos that have sprung up in recent weeks involve actors mocking -- and, often, exaggerating -- the types of statements they associate with various groups. But when it comes to things Republican politicians says about and to the black community, there's no need for a script or embellishment. Jezebel has pulled together real-life clips of quotes from everyone from Romney to Cain that make more of a statement than any spoof could.

Many of these gems will (unfortunately) sound familiar:

"Not all cultures are equal."

"I don't want to make black people's lives better."

"Who let the dogs out?"

"I didn't say that ... people said I said 'black' ... I didn't."

"We have the ability when we recognize that something is wrong to change it ... we no longer have slavery. That's a good thing."

"A third of the black people in this country, at least, are thinking for themselves."

"I know this from my own experience that blacks are not the greatest swimmers."

And there are more where those came from. By the end of the 2012 presidential race, there will probably be enough for a feature-length film

Cartoon has gone to far on Keystone Pipe Line

America's unemployment rate stands at 8.5 percent, President Obama cares about job creation, it's an election year, and it's the week before the State of the Union address.

What an ideal time for the president to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, the proposed 1,711-mile, 36-inch steel tube that would carry crude from the oil-rich Lake Athabasca region of Canada to the Gulf Coast for refining.

Keystone would provide additional North American energy for U.S. markets, an estimated 20,000 jobs, and boost U.S.-Canadian relations. And imagine Obama's photo-op with Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., up for re-election in November. Call it a win-win-win-win.

Instead, Obama's refusal to approve Keystone is a gift to Republicans that will keep on giving throughout this campaign year.

On Wednesday, Obama said, "I'm disappointed that Republicans in Congress forced this decision, but it does not change my administration's commitment to American-made energy that creates jobs and reduces our dependence on oil."

Except the commitment now seems a little wobbly.
Pipeline approval has been pending since September 2008, when TransCanada Pipelines Ltd. applied for permission to build it. Because 1,384 miles were to be built in the United States, the State Department reviewed the application.

Although the State Department gave Keystone a positive environmental assessment last August, in November it announced that approval would be delayed until the first quarter of 2013, pending the study of alternative routes.

Nebraska objected that the pipeline would cross its Ogallala Aquifer. But Nebraska cannot prevent authorization of the pipeline, and Nebraska is now working with TransCanada on a different route.
As a condition for extending payroll tax cuts, Congress required the State Department to speed up its decision on Keystone, and deliver a verdict by mid-February.

Some believe that Obama has outmaneuvered the Republicans by issuing a negative decision on Keystone. But the real losers, after the unemployed who lose potential jobs, are Democrats whose campaigns will be hurt by the rejection of Keystone.

The pipeline is estimated to provide $99 million in revenues to local governments, $486 million to state governments and about $5.3 billion in future cumulative property taxes, according a TransCanada study. The federal government's share in tax revenue, assuming a rate of 15 percent, would be about $1.44 billion.
Some union leaders are criticizing the White House for the decision. Terry O'Sullivan, president of the Laborers' International Union of North America, said, "Once again the president has sided with environmentalists instead of blue-collar construction workers -- even though environmental concerns were more than adequately addressed. Blue-collar construction workers across the U.S. will not forget this."
Other unions, such as the Communications Workers of America, the United Auto Workers, the Transport Workers Union, the United Steelworkers Union, and the Service Employees International Union, whose workers would not benefit as much from Keystone's jobs, are following the party line and joining environmentalists to support the president.

Obama's refusal to allow Keystone to proceed is comparable to the National Labor Relations Board's attempt to block Boeing from using its new plant in North Charleston, S.C., where it is employing thousands of workers to make new Dreamliner planes. In both cases, the federal government is standing against domestic employment in individual states.

More is at stake than jobs generated by Keystone. The Gulf of Mexico refineries, America's single largest concentration of petrochemical facilities, will need future supplies of oil to continue operating at current levels.

Much of the heavy oil processed in the Gulf now comes from Mexico and Venezuela, whose export volumes have been dwindling.

In 2013, either a Republican or Democratic president will approve Keystone. But why wait until 2013?
