Conservative Writer Tells Whites How To Avoid Blacks.

The conservative magazine National Review has fired John Derbyshire, a prominent columnist who provoked outrage Friday with a column published in the webzine Taki's Magazine, which warned white people to avoid "large concentrations of blacks," among other nuggets of racially tinged advice.

Derbyshire has a history of controversy when it comes to race — he even proclaimed himself a racist, though a "tolerant" one, in a 2003 interview — but he had managed to avoid any real firestorms. His latest piece, though, proved to be a step too far. Written in response to articles about the "talk" black parents were having with their children about the dangers of racism in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting, Derbyshire wrote about some of the offensive advice he had allegedly given his own children. Just a few of the examples:

(10a) Avoid concentrations of blacks not all known to you personally.

(10b) Stay out of heavily black neighborhoods.

(10c) If planning a trip to a beach or amusement park at some date, find out whether it is likely to be swamped with blacks on that date (neglect of that one got me the closest I have ever gotten to death by gunshot).

(10d) Do not attend events likely to draw a lot of blacks.

(10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible.

Since Zimmerman, Whites Feel They Can Kill Blacks And Get Away With It.

Police said special operations officers and other agents arrested two white men early Sunday, saying they were suspects in recent shootings that left three people dead and two others critically wounded, all black, in the Tulsa area.

Tulsa police spokesman Jason Willingham said the two men were arrested at a hone just north of Tulsa at 1:47 a.m. Sunday and they were expected to face three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill. He said police acted on an anonymous tip and went to one location and followed the suspects after they had traveled about a half mile on foot to another place where they were apprehended. He declined to characterize that as a pursuit.

"There obviously still is a lot of investigation" ahead, Willingham told The Associated Press by telephone. "We don't' have a motive at this time. We are still asking questions and hopefully that will become clear in coming days."

Willingham identified the men in custody as 19-year-old Jake England and 32-year-old Alvin Watts, both white, but gave no hometowns for them. He said the two men were taken early Sunday for questioning at a downtown Tulsa police station and would be booked and then jailed.

It was not known if either man arrested had obtained an attorney early Sunday.

Owner Of Company Says Campaign Sticker No Racist, What You Think?

Paula Smith, owner of the company Stickatude.com, says that the anti-Obama campaign sticker that says “Don’t Re-Nig 2012″ isn’t racist. During an interview with Forbes.com, Smith innocently claims that the bumper sticker was not a reference to the president’s ethnicity, and was simply meant to say that he’s a bad leader.

“According to the dictionary [the N word] does not mean black. It means a low down, lazy, sorry, low down person. That’s what the N word means,” said Ms. Smith.
Roger Friedman at Forbes.com makes this accurate point:

“In Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, the word is defined as ‘member of any dark skinned race. Taken to be offensive.’ Dictionary.com says the word ‘is now probably the most offensive word in English. Its degree of offensiveness has increased markedly in recent years, although it has been used in a derogatory manner since at least the Revolutionary War. Definitions 1a, 1b, and 2 represent meanings that are deeply disparaging and are used when the speaker deliberately wishes to cause great offense.’”

Smith says she’s not a racist and doesn’t like Obama for reasons that are unrelated to his race.

“And besides Obama is not even black. He’s got a mixture of race. It’s his choice of what his nationality is. I’m a mixed breed. I call myself a Heinz 57,” she says.

“I just want someone that’s going to help the United States and not give it other countries all the time. And stop giving the immigrants the benefits that most Americans inside their own states can’t even get because they’re giving it others who don’t even live here as an American.

Black Leaders Are Stuck In The 60's, While We Fight A New Racist America.

A new Your Black World/Kulture Kritic poll shows that the majority of African Americans are disappointed in the state of black leadership in America. When asked, ‘Are you happy with the state of black leadership in America?” 85 percent of poll respondents said that they were either unhappy or extremely unhappy with the current state of affairs.

Most of the respondents also seemed to feel that white media defines who the current black leaders are in America. Readers were asked the question: “Do you think that predominantly white media determines who the black leadership is going to be?” In response, 69 percent of respondents answered “yes,” while only 19% answered “no.” The rest of the participants said they were not sure.

Finally, survey results claim that most African Americans believe that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are defined as predominant leaders of the black community. Respondents were asked, “Do you think that most of America defines black leadership to consist primarily of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?” In response to this question, nearly 3/4 of survey respondents (74%) answered “yes.”

White Officers Kill Unarmed Black Males and Call It Justifiable Homicide.

A witness's recollection about the night of Kendrec McDade's shooting death casts doubt over Pasadena police officers' account of the events.

20-year-old witness, Anthony Carroll, came forward Thursday to say he never heard the officers identify themselves or order McDade to stop, Pasadena Star News reports.

"I thought it was a drug deal gone bad, that's how quiet it was," Carroll said. "I didn't hear a siren until the shooting happened."

As questions continue to rise about the fatal shooting of Kendrec McDade, Pasadena Police Chief Phillip Sanchez has invited the FBI to investigate the incident.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said the agency often investigates incidents where questions of civil rights violations are raised and that it has already begun to do so for McDade's case, CBS reports.

The controversial shooting is also under investigation by the LA County District Attorney's office and the LA County Office of Independent Review (OIR).

Sanchez met Thursday with officials of OIR, including Michael Gennaco and City Manager Michael Beck. Gennaco told NBC, “We’re going to do a top to bottom analysis of the incident." He added, “It’s important for the public to eventually learn the whole story.

Neo-Nazis Come Out To Protect Whites In Stanford.

Since the Trayvon Martin story has received national attention, Sanford, Fla. has gone from a virtually unknown city to the center of the spotlight. Now, a group of neo-Nazis are patrolling the area, saying they are "prepared" for violence in case a race riot ensues, the Miami New Times reports.

The Detroit-based group said they are not advocating violence, but instead are responding to white residents' fear of a race riot.

"Whenever there is one of these racially charged events, Al Sharpton goes wherever blacks need him," Commander Jeff Schoep of the National Socialist Movement told the news outlet. "We do similar things. We are a white civil rights organization."

Schoep said that measures by groups like the New Black Panther Party, who offered a $10,000 bounty for the "capture" of George Zimmerman, are a sign of the "possibility of further racial violence."

"We don't wish for things like that," he said. "But there have been race riots in Detroit and L.A., so we know those types of things happen."

Schoep said the group's purpose is to show solidarity with the local white community, not to take sides in the case.

"That's for the courts to decide."

Racism Shows Up In Judges Email.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals' chief judge has ordered an investigation of an email sent by a Montana federal judge containing a racist joke about President Barack Obama.

Judge Alex Kozinski of the 9th Circuit appointed a special judicial committee to investigate the alleged misconduct by Montana Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull, who last month admitted to forwarding an email that contained a racist joke about the president.

The email, sent in February and obtained by the Great Falls Tribune in March, contained a joke that compared African Americans to dogs and implied that Obama's mother had sex with animals. Cebull sent the message from his official courthouse email to seven recipients.

The judge claimed that he is not racist, but forwarded the email because he is "not a fan" of Obama. However, the message sparked a national firestorm, with many groups demanding that Cebull resign from his post.

Cebull later sent a letter of apology to the president. "I accept full responsibility," he wrote. "I have no one to blame but myself."

Kozinski appointed a five-person committee on March 23 to look into the judicial complaint, which was initiated by Cebull himself after the message was published.

A True American Hero, Father Dies To Protect His Son.

A young father died using his body to shield his 8-year-old son from gunfire in Inglewood, Calif. Tuesday. The victim was identified on Thursday as 28-year-old Fredrick Martin.

Lieutenant James Madia of the Inglewood Police told The Huffington Post that they believe the suspects walked up and fired the shots on foot at about 7 p.m., while the father and son were standing in front of their garage.

In response, Martin pushed his son to the ground and, in the process, took gunshot wounds to his abdomen and upper torso. The father was rushed to a local hospital, where he died shortly after.

Regarding the motive of the shooting, Madia said Martin was an "upstanding guy, an employed college graduate. We have no idea why this shooting would have happened. We have been presented no evidence that would suggest that this was gang-related."

Martin's Facebook profile reveals that he studied at Texas Southern University and is married to Amanda Martin. Depicted in the photo above, their one-year anniversary would have been May 12.

Zimmerman Is Coming Up With Any Reason To Defend Killing Trayvon. What's Next?

"Shaken Baby Syndrome" was cited on Friday in the defense of George Zimmerman, the Sanford, Florida, man who shot and killed unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin in a case that has sparked a widespread public outcry.

Hal Uhrig, a lawyer and former Gainesville, Florida, police officer who recently joined Zimmerman's defense team, cited in a TV interview the brain damage that can seriously injure or kill an infant.

His point, which has been made before, was that Zimmerman contends he shot Martin in self defense and feared for his life after the 17-year-old attacked him and began pounding his head into the concrete pavement of a gated community on a rainy evening in Sanford on Feb. 26.

But Uhrig's choice of words, and use of a recognized sign of child abuse to defend a 28-year-old man who killed a kid, seemed likely to raise more than just a few eyebrows.

"We're familiar with the Shaken Baby Syndrome," said Uhrig on the CBS This Morning program. "You shake a baby, the brain shakes around inside the skull. You can die when someone's pounding your head into the ground."

Apart from saying his client suffered a broken nose, Uhrig did not elaborate on the extent of any injuries Zimmerman actually suffered. But characteristic injuries associated with SBS, as Shaken Baby Syndrome is known, include bleeding in the brain. There are often no visible external signs such injuries have occurred.

Police have not arrested Zimmerman because the use of lethal force in self defense is permitted under the Stand Your Ground law approved by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush in 2005.

Teacher Tell Students, Show Me Yours And I Will Give You An" A".

Timothy Moll, a 25-year-old teacher at Dieruff High School in Allentown, Colo., is accused of offering good grades in exchange for a student's nude photos, WFMZ-TV reports.

Authorities told the station that Moll sent text messages to the 16-year-old student, asking for naked photos, promising extra points to her class grade if she complied.

Court documents obtained by the Express-Times reveal he also asked the student to text him about sex and sexual postions, allotting extra grade points if he was "turned on."

An investigation began in January after the unnamed student was punished for using a cell phone in class. The paper reports that school officials were then alerted to the possibly sexual messages between the student and teacher, leading authorities to track down both of their numbers.

NBC Philadelphia reports that Moll has been put on administrative leave after being charged Wednesday with corruption of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor. He has since been released on $20,000 bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 13.

Racism Shows Up In Elementary School Class Photo.

A second grader at Sawgrass Elementary School in Sunrise, Fla., who didn't have the parental consent form to be his class photo was nevertheless included, but in a way that has shocked school officials and the boy's parents, WPLG TV reports.

Per the elementary school's request, The Huffington Post blurred the faces of the other students in the photo, but the second grade boy can still be seen with a crude, brown-colored, smiley face placed over his face.

"It was totally inappropriate," Broward School District spokeswoman Marsy Smith told WPLG.

Smith also said Sherry Rose, the school's principal, was shocked when she first saw the photo.

"She was very, very upset and immediately took action to reschedule a picture-taking session for Thursday."

White Woman Drives Across Highway To Hit A Black Teen Head On.

A collision between a Jeep and a go-cart in Pearland, Texas has sparked a race debate that’s initiated a flood of phone calls and e-mails from across the country.

But while people on the outside are debating race, those close to what happened are shutting down that argument. Still, they have a problem with what’s occurred and a bigger problem that the woman hasn’t been arrested.

“Race is not an issue, what is an issue is right and wrong,” said the victim’s father Jules Moor. Moor has filed a lawsuit against the woman who investigators say drove her Jeep Wrangler into his 13-year-old son’s go-cart on March 13, 2012, as he was riding in the 2600 block of Lakecrest Drive, where he lives.

His son was rushed to the hospital with head and neck injuries. “I don’t think, I know for a fact that she intentionally did it,” said Moor. “She left from the northbound lane, crossed over into the southbound lane, jumped the curb and hit my son head on in his go-cart.”

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office did not arrest the woman at the scene or charge her with a crime. Instead, investigators chose to take it to a grand jury. Moor is frustrated and wants charges filed against the woman, who lives around the corner from him. “I want justice to happen. I want a felony charge to be taken against this woman,” Moor said.

Zimmerman Has Support From Racist Friends.

As students at The Ohio State University approached the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center Thursday morning, they were met by three simple words loaded with a malicious meaning: Long Live Zimmerman.

The vandalism is in reference to George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch leader responsible for the murder of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

Students immediately took to social media to express their anger, tweeting the university’s president and circulating the photo.

President Gordon Gee tweeted back stating, “Just learned of vandalism at our Hale Center. Deplorable act of intolerance– not who we are at Ohio State. Our Police are investigating.” He is expected to make an official statement about the incident Thursday afternoon.

The white spray paint has since been removed by a Student Life employee, but there are no suspects in the case.

Larry Williamson, director of the Hale Center, says they are working with University Police and are taking the necessary steps so that incidents like this never happen again.

“We want to be sure that these types of things don’t happen here at the Ohio State University,” Williamson said. “This is not the kind of climate that Ohio State is trying to have here at this university. The university prides itself in diversity and you have things like that that takes a step back.”

“We’re dealing with the situation with heightened security. We’re going try to make sure that we do everything possible that these types of things don’t happen.”

OSU students will meet at the Hale Center Thursday night to discuss the vandalism at their weekly Black Student Association meeting.

President Obama Suppot Women Being Admitted To All Male Augusta National.

On the first day of the Masters golf tournament, President Obama is weighing in on the debate over the all-male membership of the tournament’s host country club.

Obama believes that women should be admitted as members at Augusta National, White House spokesman Jay Carney said Thursday.

The president’s “personal opinion is that women should be admitted,” Carney said, noting that he discussed the issue with Obama.\

“It’s long past the time when women should be excluded from anything,” Carney said, about Obama’s views.

Augusta has maintained an all-male membership policy during its 80-year history, and Chairman Billy Payne declined to answer a question about the policy during a news conference Wednesday.

The issue flared up again after Ginni Rometty was named Chief Executive Officer of IBM, a longtime sponsor of the tournament whose previous chief executives have been admitted to Augusta National.
“Once again, that deals with a membership issue and I’m not going to answer it,” Payne said.

The country club allows women to play its famed golf course if invited by a member. It admitted its first African-American member in 1990.

Did Zimmerman Father Call In A Favor To Save His Son...Again?

An attorney for Trayvon Martin's family expressed concern over the role Robert Zimmerman, the father of the man who shot and killed Martin, may have played in the investigation of the shooting.

In an interview with ThinkProgress, Natalie Jackson said that the elder Zimmerman, a former magistrate judge, understands "“what probable cause needs to be” in order to arrest a suspect or to issue a warrant. Robert Zimmerman was present when the police questioned his son the day after the shooting and re-enacted the incident.

Jackson told ThinkProgress that the elder Zimmerman's presence was possibly inappropriate because "we don't know what coaching went on."

In the minutes before the shooting, George Zimmerman called 911 to report that Martin, a 17-year-old from Miami Gardens, Fl., as "suspicious." Martin was unarmed, and was returning home from a convenience store that evening, carrying his cellphone, $22 in his walet, a bag of Skittles and a can of iced tea. Zimmerman admitted to shooting and killing Martin, after a confrontation. Zimmerman, who claimed self-defense, was not charged or arrested in the shooting. Activists from around the country have held rallies and protests to call for charges to be brought against Zimmerman.

On Monday, Robert Crump, who represents Martin's family along with Jackson, sent a letter to the Justice Department which said that on the night of the shooting "family members of shooter George Zimmerman were present at the police department".
