A woman was severely burned Monday after being doused in gasoline and lit on fire outside a 7-Eleven store in South Florida in a dispute with the father of her child, police said.
The 34-year-old woman was waiting in her silver Mercedes at the store shortly before 3 a.m., Boynton Beach Police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said. She was meeting her ex to pick up her 4-year-old son for whom they share custody.
Roosevelt Mondesir, 52, arrived in his white Jaguar without the boy and began throwing gasoline on the unidentified woman's car and body, according to a police affidavit. She tried to run away, but police said the man chased her with a knife and then ignited her.

A Florida man is accused of using a rope to tie up his 4-year-old daughter so he could play video games.
The young girl told police that she was watching TV on May 17 when her father, Heath Howe, tied her up in the kitchen. She said Howe then began to play "bad guy" video games, according to WTSP.

Woman Use Sledgehammer To Slow Down Cheating Boyfriend.

A Florida woman has been accused in the brutal sledgehammer assault of her ex-boyfriend.
Angela Rhodes, 52, beat her ex-boyfriend, 48-year-old Thommy Whidden, with a single-handed sledgehammer while they were in the driveway of his Naples residence on Monday, a spokesperson for the Collier County Sheriff's Office told The Huffington Post.
According to the incident report, sheriff's deputy Stephen German was one of the first officers to arrive on the scene. German found a beaten and bloodied Whidden lying in the road.
"I observed that Thommy had a lot of blood coming from his nose, eyes and mouth," the report reads. "Thommy was injured on the left side of his face."
Whidden was having difficulty breathing, so German turned the severely injured man on his side so blood that was obstructing his airway could drain from his nose and mouth.

Woman Beats Up Boyfriend For Watching Too Much Porn.

A Hobe Sound man's expensive taste for small screen adult entertainment led to a violent domestic dispute, Martin County Sheriff's officers report.
When Robin Caccavale Bottieri, 51, called the cable company to find out why her cable had been shut off, she learned of an outstanding charge of $400 for "pornography shows," according to the arrest affidavit.
On April 23, she confronted her live-in boyfriend, who confessed to ordering the hundreds of dollars worth of porn. In response, Bottieri spit on him and he returned by shoving her on the couch.
The physical fight escalated, police say, Bottieri ripping off the boyfriend's shirt in the tussle.
When Bottieri called 911, the boyfriend left the residence but was later found.
Because Bottieri made contact with her boyfriend against his will, she was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
Pornography, both online and on TV, is a constant source of domestic strife -- particularly in Florida and the neighboring states.

Father Kills Son For Making Him Lose A Game On His Xbox.

A Florida man is accused of killing his newborn son because the child would not stop crying while he played videogames.

Jacob David Hartley, 20, admitted to authorities that he shook the 3-week-old boy last Thursday afternoon before going to work, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in a statement to The Huffington Post.

Hartley admitted to police that he used both hands to throttle Colton D. Hartley who cried during his dad's Xbox session. The baby's alleged injuries were only discovered hours later by his mother Amber Newton.

Police said that Hartley returned to his Lakeland home after stocking shelves at Sam's Club and played video games until approximately 4:00 a.m. on Friday. That's when the infant woke up crying. Newton prepared a bottle while Hartley held his son, according to news reports.

Hartley allegedly fell asleep holding the infant on his chest. About two hours later, Newton discovered her son "unresponsive and bleeding from his nose and mouth," according to police.

"The infant was transported to Bartow Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased," according to the sheriff's office statement.

Hartley told police that he used both hands to shake the boy during a video game session prior to leaving for work, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

A Florida woman accused by authorities of illegally injecting toxic substances into women's buttocks as an enhancement procedure has pleaded not guilty.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports Oneal Ron Morris sent a written plea of not guilty to a Broward County judge on Thursday.

She faces unlicensed practice of medicine and related charges in Broward County. Morris, who police say was born a man and identifies as a woman, was arrested in November on similar charges in Miami-Dade County.

Her attorney says his client maintains her innocence.

Authorities say Morris injected flat-tire sealant, glue, caulk and cement into women's buttocks. All three victims suffered medical complications and infections.
