While the driver he chased lay dying inside a burning car, the state trooper
kept going.
That's the accusation made in a $10 million wrongful-death lawsuit filed
Tuesday by the driver's family in U.S. District Court. Gordon Kyle Anito, 20,
died Nov. 26 after his 2005 Subaru Impreza hit
a tree and caught fire around 3:30 a.m. near the corner of Hill Road and
Andersonville Pike in North Knox County.
The fire burned Anito's body beyond recognition, according to the
lawsuit.
